Neuer Monitor ändert sich Hz automatisch?

Hallo,
ich habe zur Zeit ein TFT 15" Monitor. Die Auflösung ist 1024-786 bei 60Hz.
Nun hab ich mir nen 17er CRT gekauft. Im Menü kann ich die Wiederholfrequent nicht ändern.
Erkennt das System automatisch den Monitor und setzt sie hoch bzw. ich kann sie dann ändern ???
ICh geh über System -> Einstellungen -> Bildschirmauflösung

geh mal besser als root über

Code: Alles auswählen

nano -w /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Aber vorher folgendes nicht vergessen:

cp /etc/X11/xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.old

Du könntest in der xorg.conf (evtl. vorher Backup machen) in Section "Monitor" folgende Zeilen ändern bzw. hinzufügen (falls nicht vorhanden):

Code: Alles auswählen

        HorizSync       30-60
        VertRefresh     40-70

Wobei die hier genannten Werte nur ein Beispiel darstellen, die korrekten Werte findest du in Handbuch des Monitors!

habe ich gemacht.
in dem fenster wo ich die auflösung einstellen kann steht dann brav der hohe wert.
aber ... laut monitor osd sind es immer noch nur 60 hz
was mach ich da???

Hallo
so jetzt hab ich es geschafft, das der monitor läuft.
aber ... komische auflösung. jetzt hat er (laut osd) 79hz und 64Khz vertikalfrequent.
den wert kenn ich von einer röhre gar nicht. nur 70,72,75,85 ....
ich bin so vorgegangen: mit dkpg reconfigure xserver-xconf habe ich als grafikkarte nv angegeben (nvidia???)
mit vesa kam ich über 60 nicht hinaus. dann per hand die techn. daten des monitors an frequenzen. speicher hab ich frei gelassen. (ist ne onboad) und framebuffer hab ich nicht nutzen lassen.
als monitor hab ich gesagt: 1280x1024 x 60Hz.
wenn ich in bildschirmauflösung reingehe sagt mir debian ...85Hz. aber ich hab das gefühl der zeigt sowieso nur das was in der xconf steht, das osd des monitors sagt nen anderen wert, und dem vertrau ich mal....
anbei meine config file. vieleiicht weiss jemand, wie 79Hz zusstande kommen, und ob es schädlich ist?
ich wollte extra in hinsicht auf die lebenserwartung des monitors nicht die volle hz zahl fahren....
