proftpd startet nicht

wenn ich proftpd starte kommt folgende fehler meldung

 - Fatal: error processing configuration file '/etc/proftpd/proftpd.conf'

ok ich hab schon so viel raus gefunden das etwas in meiner /etc/host.conf falsch ist, nur was soll da nun falsch sein, es steht nur "multi on" drin, ist doch oke oder was soll da rein wenn ich diverse Seiten befolge soll ich "mienIP und mein Hostname"([IP] [hostname]) rein setzten mach ich das kommt

Vielleicht is 'hostname' nicht allzu gut als Hostname.

Wie hast Du Deinen Computer denn bei der Installation genannt? Das sollte in /etc/hostname stehen.

In /etc/hosts ist die Auflistung von IP+hostname (dort sollte nur '127.0.0.1 localhost' drin stehen), nicht in /etc/host.conf (da steht bei mir auch nur "multi on" drin).

ich denke in der host.conf bist du etwas falsch
in deiner /etc/hosts muss statt 'hostname' der Name deines Rechners drinstehen

ahh danke ich hab die falsche Datei malträtiert *g*
in /etc/hosts sah es so aus

Hinter dem Punkt steht eigentlich die Domain zu der der Host gehoert. Hast Du bei der Installation '(23)' als Domain angegeben?

Steht in /etc/hostname auch 'deb-cell'? Ist 'localhost' in /etc/hosts eingetragen?

aso ja es funktioniert jetzt, zwar noch nicht mit SSL aber ich bin schon n ganzes stück weiter
