Ich hab folgendes Problem, und ich weiss noch nichtmal obs in diese Kategorie passt.

Und zwar hat hier nen PC insgesamt 5 Festplatten (1x 80GB, 2x 200GB), 2 hängen am onboard Controller, eine am ersten Promise Controller und zwei wieder am zweiten Promise.

Bei der Installation stellte das ganz auch kein Problem da, im installer von Sarge konnte ohne Probleme eine Volume Group mit den 4x 200GB Festplatten erstellt werden.
Starte ich aber nun ins System rein, können die beiden Festplatten am zweiten Promise Controller auf einmal nicht mehr der Volume Group zugeordnet werden.
Die Fehlermeldung ist:

und ein lvmdiskscan liefert auch nur 2 Platten

Was mich dann noch mehr verwirrt ist die Tatsache das beim booten alle Platten erkannt werden. hdc, hdi, hde, hdj sind die Platten am Promise Controller, und hdi und hdj die Platten die später nicht mehr "gefunden" werden.

Also wenn irgendwer eine Idee hat wie ich das lösen kann bzw. woran das liegt, wäre ich für jeden Hinweis dankbar...
so langsam verzweifel ich da nämlich dran...

man sollte schon drauf achten das hdj und hdi auch in /dev/hd* existieren ^^
