Installation von MySql und phpMyAdmin über apt-get

Hallo,

ich habe versucht MySql zu installieren mit: apt-get install mysql-server
allerdings bekomme ich immer folgende fehlermeldung:

den Client kann ich auch irgend einem Grund auch nicht installieren.

Und bei phpMyAdmin hab ich das Problem, dass er das Paket gar nicht erst findet: E: Couldn't find package phpmyadmin

Hat einer ne Idee woran das liegen kann oder was ich falsch mache?
Bin für jede Hilfe Dankbar

was hast du den in deiner /etc/apt/sources.list zu stehen?

Die hab ich grad heute ergänzt, nun steht das drinne:

phpmyadmin wird dann wohl nicht auf der CD drauf sein, ebenso wie libdbi-perl.

aber sollte er bei "apt-get install phpmyadmin" dann nicht im netz nach dem package suchen?

Wenn du ihm gesagt hast das er das machen soll, dann macht er das auch. Dazu muss aber eine entsprechende Quelle in deiner /etc/apt/sources.list stehen. Das ist bei dir aber nicht der Fall.
Wenn du das machen moechtest, dann hilft dir das Programm apt-setup dabei.
