When i boot up i see this message before entering my login:
warning: /boot/System.map2.4.19 not parseable as a System.map
warning: /boot/System.map not parseable as a System.map

(Within lilo, as i had recompiled, i've change the line map=/boot/map to map=/boot/System.map-2.4.19)<-- i dont know wether it s important to say that.

Check, whether the map file has the same (or very nearby) timestamps as the kernel image you have installed. Also check that the file actually is there.
If your kernel boots nontheless I wouldn't worry, seems just to be a warning but not an error...
