Kernel Image installieren

Hallo

ich habe mir ein Kernel image von backports runtergelden. Danach wollte ich es installieren aber es kommt folgende Meldung.

ok ich habe das tool installiert.
jetzt möchte das Kernelimage installieren, aber da stellen sich wieder nbeuer Fragen auf.
Ich soll die lilo.conf konfigurieren, aber ich bin mir nicht ganz sich wie ich das machen soll. kann ir hierbei vielleicht einer helfen.
Will ich das Kernelimage ,ohne die lilo.conf anzupassen, installieren kommen wieder Fehlermeldungen

Du musst die Pakete initrd-tools sowie module-init-tools auch von der Backportsseite nehmen, denke ich.

das Paket module-init-tools kann nicht nicht installiert werden

Das ist klar. Stand ja schon in Deinem letzten Posting. Ich schrieb aber, dass Du es wie das kernel-image File auch von http://www.backports.org runterladen musst. Und dann auch analog via "dpkg -i" (s. 1. posting in diesem thread) installieren..... Über die Quellen in Deiner sources.list von APT findet sich kein module-init-tools.

ich mache es jetzt anders und versuche mir einen Kernel selber zu kompilieren

Wenn das so nicht klappt mit dem installieren , dann zieh dir doch die Pakete und installiere sie mit dpkg -i

Daraus kann ich erkenne das module init tools fehlt. Hab eioch mir auch von der backports Seite heruntergeladen danach kommt folgender Fehler

Scheint so als müsste ich modutils deinstallieren. Dabei passiert folgendes

Mach ich ein apt-get -f install, fängt wieder alle svon vorne an.

Dann installier dir doch erst mal neuere Modutils von http://www.backports.org. . Und wenn die dann installiert sind dann sollen auch die module-init-tools zufrieden sein.

PS: Habe mir mal ebend die dependencies der Pakete angesehen.
