Eingebaute Digicam(s) nutzbar?

Hallo allerseits!

Mein neues gebrauchtes Tablet hat zwei eingebaute Kameras. Ich möchte probieren, diese zur Zusammenarbeit zu überreden. Vorweg möchte ich relevante Infos sammeln und bin kürzlich auf inxi aufmerksam geworden.

In der festen Absicht, mir erst einmal die Manualpage durchzulesen, habe ich gesehen, dass die 2.300 Zeilen hat. Örks.

Da es hierzugroup wohl mehr oder weniger intensiv benutzt wird, würde ich mich freuen, wenn mir jemand auf die Schnelle sagen könnte, wie ich inxi einsetzen muss, um zu den wirklich interessanten Infos vorzustoßen. Ich lese mir dann die entsprechenden Abschnitte durch, versprochen.

abseits von inxi ist auch hw-probe -all einen Versuch wert.
Voraussetzung, die Cams sind eingeschaltet, könnte sein, dass das nicht der Fall ist.
Bei meinem Laptop ist die Webcam ein USB device.
inxi -J findet das

Obwohl ich sichergestellt habe, dass beide Kameras im BIOS aktiviert sind, erscheinen sie weder bei inxi -J noch bei hw-probe -all:

In meinen Augen sieht's demnach schlecht aus ... was eigentlich ziemlich egal ist, weil ich gar nicht wüsste, wofür ich die Kameras benutzen sollte.
Falls jemand findet, dass ich noch Weiteres in Erfahrung bringen soll, möge sich melden.

so normale Notebookbildschirmkameras haben bei mir immer unter debian out of the box funktioniert,
somit kann ich dein Problem nicht ganz verstehen....

Ja, cheese ließ sich installieren (hab ich gestern mal als einen Schnellschuss ins Blaue probiert), meldete aber „no cameras found“.

Digikam habe ich nicht ausprobiert. Der will noch über 230 zusätzliche Pakete installiert haben.

Und klar, als erste Spontan-Maßnahme habe ich zumindest die hintere Kamera gleich mit einem Markierungspunkt in Gehäusefarbe „markiert“. Die vordere könnte aber mit einer passenden App ganz nützlich sein.
