Boot vom USB-Stick (/home separat)

Hallöchen,

ich habe heute eigentlich erfolgreich versucht auf einem USB-Stick Debian zu installieren.

Dabei handelt es sich um die Netinstallation mit den non-free Treiberpaket (da Realtek Ethernet). Die Partitionierung war wie folgt aufgeteilt: 2x 4TB WD Red (als Raid 1 Verbund) als /home und auf dem USB-Stick (3.0) logischerweise das Wurzelverzeichnis (inkl. Swap). Grub wurde natürlich auf dem USB-Stick installiert und dieser mit "boot" markiert. Soweit so gut, die Installation war erfolgreich. Nach dem Neustart (und Änderung der Bootreihenfolge im Bios) trat wie erwartet Grub auf dem Plan und bot mir Debian zum Booten an. Nach der Prüfung der Partitionen auf Fehler (also Grub erfolgreich und Installation wohl erkannt), hat der Bildschirm kein Signal mehr gemeldet und die Tastatur schien auch nicht mehr erkannt worden zu sein (Num Lock aus)...

Zur Hardware: J3710-ITC, 8GB Kingston DD3-1600 RAM (Single Mode), Tastatur (alt über PS/2 angeschlossen), keine(!) Maus angeschlossen , Monitor über DVI.

Hat jemand eine Idee?


Edit: System ist als Medien/Fileserver vorgesehen.

In der Zwischenzeit versuche ich die Installation einfach nochmal... Wobei ich mir nicht vorstellen kann, dass damit der Fehler beseitigt wird... Aber wer weiß, evtl. ist während der Installation etwas schief gegangen


Edit: Neuinstallation hat nichts gebracht... Ich versuche mal herauszufinden, woran es liegt, indem ich den Boot-Stick mal im laufenden System einbinde und auf Suche gehe.
Wenn jemand Ideen hat, würde ich mich freuen.

Hmm... Bin unschlüssig, wie das zu lösen ist.
Ich habe die Befürchtung, dass es doch irgendwie an der Hardware liegt. Außerdem bin ich müde *gähn*

Wenn das Ding tatsächlich mit GUI laufen soll: Hast du vorher mal probiert, ob ein Live-Medium funktioniert, also eines von denen hier:

Für die Grundkonfiguration und als Falllback aufgrund meiner Faulheit, wollte ich auch Xfce installieren

Ansonsten bootet er ja nicht mal in eine Promt, daher ist es sicherlich ein grundsätzliches Problem...

Live-Stick endet im gleichen Ergebnis... (Secure Boot ist sowieso deaktiviert)

Passt... Wie beschrieben, wechselt er zum Grub und dann beginnt er zu booten, danach Bildschirm schwarz und nix passiert mehr...

Ich muss zugeben, dass es mir langsam auf den Sack geht...

Live-Stick funktioniert nicht, Installation funktioniert nicht und mittlerweile schaffe ich es nicht mal (im Zuge einer Neuinstallation) den Bootloader zu installieren ("Grub konnte nicht auf dummy installiert werden" - "grub install dummy").

Ich habe Live-Isos von Debian in letzter Zeit auch auf verschiedenen Rechnern nicht zum ordentlichen booten bringen können.

Das Projekt der Live-ISOs scheint ein wenig stiefmütterlich betreut zu sein. Gerüchten zufolge soll das überhaupt eingestellt werden... Oder weiß jemand besseres dazu?

Ich kann mir vorstellen, dass es mit EFI Probleme gibt.
In einer Anleitung der Ubuntu-Community ist erklärt, wie ein EFI USB-Stick einzurichten ist. Evtl ist das unter Debian auch zu beachten?

Aktuell versuche ich es zum dritten Mal.
Wenn es nicht funktioniert, versuche ich mich an der Ubuntu-Server-Version.

Okay... einen Schritt weiter )EFI-System-Partition (150MB) hatte gefehlt und ich habe den Raid-Verbund erstmal weg gelassen)...
Ich komme in die BusyBox, da scheinbar eine Partition nicht vorhanden ist.

Ich bin kurz davor sinnlos auf die Kiste einzuhauen!

Mittlerweile zeigt mein angeschlossener Bildschirm gar nichts mehr an... D.h. ich sehe nicht mal das Bios-Logo. Toll was?

Egal was ich mache, der Bildschirm bleibt vollkommen schwarz - nichts geht mehr. Die Festplatten laufen an, USB und Mous bekommen auch Saft und LAN scheint auch da zu sein. Ich bekomm einfach kein Bild, auch ein separater Bildschirm (dieses Mal HDMI) konnte nichts anzeigen. Ja spinn ich denn?!?!?!

Übirgens: Die Batterie mal rauszumachen hat auch nichts geholfen. Ist das Board defekt oder was?

Hab auch meinen Spass mit UEFI gehabt. Stick mit gpt partitioniert? Grub dann in die /-Partition installieren. Beim ersten Versuch /home vom Raid nicht einbinden. Meldet sich der Installer im EFI-Modus?

Wenn der Rechner nicht will, erst mal alle Laufwerke weg.

Nun ja, ehrlich gesagt hat der Rechner ja überhaupt nicht mehr reagiert.
Ich vermute einen Hardwaredefekt (nach Suche zu gleichen Problem im Netz).

Schicke morgen das Mainboard (Asrock J3710-ITX) und den RAM wieder ein.

Jemand Ideen für Mainboards (ITX), mit welchen es funktioniert? *lach*
