Kein Internet ohne Tastatur

Hallo!
Mein Server läuft seit Monaten problemlos, jetzt bin ich aber auf ein kurioses Problem gestossen: Wenn ich im laufenden Betrieb die Tastatur abziehe, bricht die Internetverbindung zusammen und lässt sich nicht wieder herstellen, wie man im 2. Versuch sieht:

Debian 3.0 rc1, Kernel 2.4.18, AVM FritzCard DSL, serielle Tastatur.

Coole Sache, oder? Ich vermute einen Fehler des pppd, allerdings weiss ich nicht, was der mit dem seriellen Link meint.

Hat ein wenig gedauert, aber ich habe den Schuldigen gefunden. Es war der led-daemon, der mir per Tastatur-LEDs den Netzwerkstatus anzeigt.

/etc/init.d/ledd stop

Tastatur abziehen, glücklich sein.

Wie bist du denn auf die Lösung des Problems gekommen?
Und wenn ich grad dabei bin: Was ist der Unterscheid zwischen pppd und ipppd?

ipppd ist fuer ISDN, pppd fuer Modem (bei DSL noch zusamen mit pppoe).
