X-Problem bei Lenny

hi, zwei Rechner (beide Lenny ca. 3-Monate alt) und bei beiden dasselbe Verhalten:
der Fehler tritt bspw. beim E-Mail Abruf via Kontact auf. Plötzlich wird der Bildschirm schwarz und es zeigt sich nur noch ein 4mm grosses "x".
Keine Möglichkeit via CTRL-ALT-F4 eine neue Sessions aufzustarten, ... keine Reaktion, bleibt nur noch Power-OFF

hi,

ich habe so ein ähnliches verhalten, welches sporadisch beim arbeiten auftritt.
ich bin der meinung es kommt vom iceweasel, kann es aber nicht genau festmachen.

installier mal openssh-server!
wenn dein system aussteigt, melde dich über einen zweiten rechner an und prüfe mal das verhalten mit:
- top
- /etc/init.d/kdm restart
...
vielleicht bekommst du dann mehr informationen!

installier mal openssh-server!
wenn dein system aussteigt, melde dich über einen zweiten rechner an und prüfe mal das verhalten mit:
- top
- /etc/init.d/kdm restart
vielleicht bekommst du dann mehr informationen!

openssh-server ist installiert.
Leider ist es so, das anschliessend ich keine Chance habe eine zweite Session/Konsole zu starten.
Bildschrim zeigt nur "x", dass ich zwar mit der Maus steuern kann, aber nicht mehr.

Kann ich nicht sagen, bei uns/mir kommt es zur Blockade auch wenn bspw. OO läuft, oder E-Mail via Kontact abgerufen werden.

hi,

das mit iceweasel war auf mein system gemünzt...

du musst dich im fehlerfall schon auf die textconsole des systems von einen zweiten rechner einloggen.
dann schaust du mit
- top -d1
welche prozesse extreme last brauchen
- /etc/init.d/kdm restart
startet deinen KDE neu (falls die die einsetzt)

Bevor du das machst solltest du, da der Rechner ja noch zu leben scheint, mit
Alt+Druck+R
Alt+Druck+S
Alt+Druck+E
Alt+Druck+I
Alt+Druck+U
Alt+Druck+B
versuchen den Rechner zu rebooten.
Vielleicht erstellst aucn - nach vorheriger Sicherung!! - eine neue xorg.conf.
dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg
vorher original xorg.conf löschen.

Nimmt dem x-server das Keyboard weg, manchmal kann man danach wieder auf eine konsole wechseln.
