Ist das qcow2 mittlerweile reif für den produktiven Einsatz?? Ich hab hier von Löffler nen ebook über kvm wo es noch nicht dafür empfohlen wird

Sagen wir mal so, ich verwende es "seit Jahren" fuer Spiel-und-Spass-VMs und hatte noch nie Probleme. Allerdings laufen die meist nicht 24/7 und ich hab' auch relativ selten Images vergroessern/verkleinern muessen (oder was es da noch an "Image-Features" geben sollte). Tendenziell wuerde ich fuer produktive VMs aber LVM nehmen, weil da der Overhead vom Dateisystem wegfaellt und man einfach snapshotten kann.
