Hallo Forum,

ich versuche meine Neuerwerbung mit einem vernünftigen Betriebssystem zu versehen. Dazu habe ich zuerst mal ein Knoppix 7.1 gebootet; das tut auch. Das Netz funktioniert.

Wenn ich aber jetzt versuche, eine Debian-Installation zu starten, komme ich bis zur Erkennenung der Netzwerk-Hardware. Die wird einfach nicht gefunden!

Dabei habe ich sowohl ein Debian 7.2 AMD64 NetInstall von einem USB-Stick probiert (hier ist ein Netzwerk essentiell), als auch eine "Debian 64-bit Wheezy" (aus einem Linux-Heft). Das NetInst-Image ist recht aktuell (ca. vor 2 Wochen bei Debian.ORG gezogen).

Beides unter der Knoppix - also mit funktionierender Netzwerkschnittstelle - rausgeschrieben.

Wenn ich das richtig sehe, ist das geladene e1000e-Modul für das Netzwerk zuständig. Aber das bei der Installation von Hand zu laden reicht leider nicht, damit die Netzwerk-Hardware erkannt wird.

Hat jemand eine Idee, was man an der Stelle am besten tun kann?

Bei Knoppix: sieht ganz normal aus (hab's gerade nicht da, weil ich am Uralt-Lappy sitze; kann ich aber nachliefern).

Ich denke aber, Du meinst wahrscheinlich bei der Installation (NetInst). Aber da ist noch kein ifconfig vorhanden; auch nicht wenn ich in die Busybox gehe:

Der Installer bleibt eine Stufe vorher ("Netzwerk-Hardware erkennen") hängen.

Als "Notausgang" bleibt mir eventuell nur, von der Knoppix-CD zu installieren. Ich hoffe, das geht und ich komme nachher zu einem "normalen", "echten" Debian. Oder vielleicht vorher noch GRML probieren und dann debootstrapen.

Lösung: neuerer Kernel (> 3.10 glaube ich)..

Rechner mit GRML und debootstrap aufgesetzt. Tut jetzt mit Testing.
