Debian 7 mit LXDE: Restart endet neuerdings in tty-Konsole

Liebe Leser,

gestern Abend habe ich auf meinem Notebook ein Windows 7-Debian 7-Dualboot als UEFI aufgesetzt.
Zunächst hatte auch alles bestens funktioniert, ich konnte mich problemlos anmelden und hatte eine grafische LXDE-Oberfläche.

Beim Neustart von Debian heute Morgen jedoch endete der Systemstart-Prozess in der tty-Konsole. Ich habe mich (in der Konsole) mit meinem Benutzernamen eingeloggt und wollte Icedove starten, daraufhin erschien folgende Fehlermeldung:

Error: no display specified

Leider werde ich aus diversen Foren-Beiträgen nicht wirklich schlau: Die Eingabe von "DISPLAY=:0" hatte überhaupt keine Auswirkung.
Vor dem Herunterfahren gestern Abend hatte ich die grafische Display-Anzeige (Display 0 oder 1) aus dem Panel entfernt, dies dürfte doch allerdings überhaupt keine Auswirkungen haben, da es ja nur um die Anzeige ging? Oder hat es da irgend einen XServer zerlegt o.Ä.?

Wie erhalte ich meine grafische LXDE-Oberfläche wieder zurück?

Nachtrag:

Bei Eingabe von startx gelange ich wie gewöhnlich in die grafische Oberfläche.
Doch warum erscheint denn nun überhaupt zunächst die tty-Konsole und nicht das grafische Log-In-Fenster?

Hallo KloBoBBerLe,

falls es sie gibt, wurde moeglicherweise Deine xorg.conf in /etc/X11 beschaedigt.
Was steht denn in /var/log/Xorg.0.log ?

Ich habe vorhin das System noch einmal neu aufgesetzt (dank Clonezilla war Windows schnell zurückgespielt):

Nach dem Ausführen von autoclean, autoremove und clean existiert das gleiche Problem wieder. Welche Datei könnte es da denn zerlegt haben?

Ich weiß nicht genau, wie du das hinbekommen hast, aber es klingt genau so, als ob du dir dabei deinen Displaymanager deinstalliert hast.
(das kann man hinbekommen, wenn man abwechselnd apt-get und aptitude benutzt)

Wenn du Gnome benutzt, wäre der passende Displaymanager der GDM.
(für KDE wäre es der kdm)

Dagegen hilft ein einfaches

apt-get install gdm3
Der Nouveau-Treiber funktioniert bei dir prächtig, du musst also nicht unbedingt den Nvidia-Treiber nutzen. Der Nvidia-Treiber bietet dir aber eine funktionierende Lüftersteuerung und bessere 3D-Leistung. Das hat aber nichts mit diesem Problem zu tun.

lightdm würde woht besser passen. Mit GDM3 holt man sich ein halbes Gnome.

Hast recht ... ich hab das LXDE oben überlesen und bin von Gnome als Default-Einstellung ausgegangen.

Aber ich werd da nicht recht schlau draus ... welchen Display-Manager installiert denn Debian, wenn man LXDE bei der Installation als Desktop wählt?

apt sagt, lightdm (oder x-display-manager) stehen nur auf der Recommends-Liste von "lxde". (beim KDE ist es genau so, da steht der KDM auch nur in den Recommends, bei Gnome hingegen steht der gdm3 in den Depends).

installiert dir dann zB den xdm. Wenn es dann immer noch nicht klappt, könnten noch iregndwelchen .xresources in deinem User-home rumschwirren.

erst mal herzlichen Dank für Eure freundliche Hilfe! :D

Die Idee mit gdm3 hatte ein Kumpel gestern auch, ich hatte dann aber noch rechtzeitig gelesen dass es sich um den Gnome-Manager handelt. :)

Ich habe Debian jetzt neu installiert und habe mir noch die offiziellen Testing-Quellen mit in die sources.list gepackt. Nach der Installation von xdm sollte ich anwählen, ob ich künftig lightdm oder xdm als Display-Manager nutzen möchte. Der ursprüngliche Display-Manager scheint also lightdm gewesen zu sein, ich habe mich nun aber für xdm entschieden.

Dennoch traue ich mich gerade nicht, autoclean, autoremove und clean auszuführen. Oder meint Ihr, dass da nun kein Risiko mehr besteht? Selbst wenn einer der drei Befehle den lightdm irgendwie zerstören sollte dürfte mir ja prinzipiell nichts mehr passieren, da ich nun xdm nutze...

Wenn du die Befehle nicht probierst wirst du nie den Fehler finden. Zudem sollte "apt-get" noch fragen. Poste doch mal die Ausgaben ... und wenn es daneben geht suchst du den Fehler oder nutzt weiter das Windows-Prinzip: nicht verstehen und neu installieren.

Es ist ja nicht so, dass "autoremove" wahllos irgendwelche Pakete entfernt. Wenn ich z.B. "Brasero" zum DVD-Brennen ausprobieren will und mir das installiere, dann zieht diese Installation zig Pakete aus dem Gnome Desktop nach sich. Wenn ich Brasero danach blöd finde und es deinstalliere, sind die Gnome-Pakete immer noch auf dem Rechner, obwohl kein Programm sie mehr braucht. Diese Pakete versucht dann "autoremove" zu identifizieren. Wenn ich mich zwischendurch an ein anderes Gnome-Programm gewöhnt habe und das eigentlich trotzdem ganz klasse finde, merkt "autoremove" das nicht und haut mir das Paket trotzdem vom Rechner.

Hätte ich vorher ein "apt-get install <Paket>" ausgeführt, so hätte sich der Status des Paketes geändert, von "automatic install" zu "manual install". Wenn es auf "manual install" steht, wird das Paket (und alle seine Abhängigkeiten) von "autoremove" nicht mehr entfernt.

Die Lösung deines Problems wäre also gewesen, ein "apt-get install lightdm" auszuführen, obwohl das Paket schon installiert ist. Danach wäre es vor "autoremove" sicher gewesen.

Das ist kein Fehler im Paket "lightdm" sondern kann den xdm genau so treffen. Der Fehler dürfte im Paket LXDE liegen, das keinen Display-Manager zwingend voraussetzt. Aber wenn man einen Debian-Entwickler dazu fragt, wird der vermutlich sagen "Ja, wieso, man braucht doch auch keinen Display-Manager, es geht doch auch mit xinit.".

Etwas offtopic:
Statt "autoremove" kann man auch das Programm Debiandeborphon nutzen, um mal Müll zu entsorgen. Das ist etwas zuverlässiger und löscht mehr weg.

Herzlichen Dank für Eure Hilfe! :D

Das Problem war wohl unter anderem, dass ich mich auf den grafischen Editor der sources.list verlassen hatte, anstatt diese Datei direkt per Leafpad zu bearbeiten. Dementsprechend hat es mir Wheezy und Testing-Quellen bunt durcheinander gemischt, was zu massiven Problemen mit der Paketverwaltung führte.

Nach einer kompletten Neuinstallation und der manuellen Bearbeitung von sources.list funktioniert nun alles richtig, und auch autoclean und autoremove fügen dem Anmeldefenster keinen Schaden mehr hinzu... :)
