Squeeze: Epson LQ-300+II

Liebe Leute,

Ich möchte unter Debian Squeeze einen Epson LQ-300+II benutzen, einen 24-Pin Nadeldrucker.

Folgendes habe ich gemacht:
- über 127.0.0.1:631 im Browser diesen automatisiert suchen lassen
- wird auch korrekt erkannt, gibt zwei Treiber zur Auswahl: Epson 9-Pin Series (en) und Epson 24-Pin Series (en)
- habe beide Treiber probiert
- dann fertig angelegt, und Testseite drucken wollen. Fehlermeldung: "Unsupported format 'application/vnd.cups-banner'!"

Bisher probiert:
- Papierformat. Korrektes eingetragen, keine Veränderung.
- in /etc/cups/printers.conf Seriennummer hinzugefügt, wie [1] empfiehlt. Keine Veränderung.
- rmmod usblp, cups restart. Keine Veränderung.
- PostScript Datei gedruckt. Keine Veränderung.
- viel gegoogelt, wenig hilfreiches gefunden.

Fehlermeldung: "Unsupported format 'application/vnd.cups-banner'!"

Sieht ganz nach Deinem Problem aus:
http://www.linuxforen.de/forums/showthread.php?t=272541

Dein MimeType wird nicht erkannt.
Abhilfe: /etc/cups/mime.types Editieren.
Beispiel:

EDIT: cups muss danach neu gestartet werden.

Ich melde mich heute mit der Lösung des Problems. Komischerweise fehlten unter /etc/cups wohl einige wichtige Dateien, die eigentlich im Paket ghostscript waren.

der mangels angeschlossenen Gerätes bei Testseite stockt,
aber auch keine Fehlermeldung ausgibt.

Vielleicht solltest Du trotz der "Autoerkennung" durch Cups auch mal mit der 'Connection:' spielen.

Eben erst gesehen dass du nochmal geantwortet hast (hatte die Hoffnung schon aufgegeben und nicht mehr mit Antworten gerechnet).

- Ich weiß dass das kein Debian Paket ist, das kommt orginal von Brother. Die einzige Möglichkeit aktuell, diesen Drucker mit Debian zu nutzen.

- Welchen Treiber ich für den Epson benutze weiß ich gerade nicht. Ich schaue morgen (auf Arbeit) nach und melde mich dann.
