[gelöst] Hilfe bei WLAN einrichten

Hallo zusammen,

ich bien absolouter Debian-Newbie. Irgenwie bekomme ich es nicht hin das WLAN an laufen zu bekommen. Habe gegoogelt und in dem Forum gesucht aber irgendwie keine richtige Lösung gefunden?!
Ich habe WICD installiert und meine etc/network/interfaces bearbeitet. Aber leider immer noch erfolglos .
-eine Abfrage mit "iwlist scan"

Mir werden keine Funknetzwerke angezeigt. Habe das gefühl das der Treiber meiner WLAN-Karte (intel(r) pro/wireless 3945abg network connection) nicht installiert ist bzw. nicht richtig läuft.
Wie kann ich das feststellen ob der Treiber installiert ist?

...hoffe auf Lösungsvorschläge.

Benutze bitte zukünftig Code-Blöcke. Den Button findest du beim Editieren der Beiträge.

Du musst in /etc/network/interfaces die Einträge für das WLAN rausnehmen, damit die Konfiguration grafisch erfolgt. Alternativ in /etc/network/interfaces eintrage und dann dort vollständig konfigurieren. Wobei evtl. hätte trotzdem was gefunden werden müssen. Poste noch

Ok, ich habe Squeeze!

den Treiber habe ich mir schonmal runtergeladen...aber da bin ich auch beim installieren gescheitert. Ich habe noch nicht verstanden wie man ein Programm was man sich runtergeladen hat, installiert .

...hat sich erledigt ... habe es geschafft juhu. Dankeschön für deine Hilfe uname!!!
habe im Terminal einfach "aptitude update && aptitude install firmware-iwlwifi wireless-tools" eingegeben und ein Neustart durchgeführt....und dann hat es geklappt.

An den TE: Das was du dir da geladen hast, ist ein Paket, das letztendlich ein Modul enthält, also den Treiber. Dieses muss in den Kernel geladen werden, typischerweise mit modprobe. Ein Reboot tut das allerdings auch, wie du festgestellt hast.
