[Gelöst] Grub auf dem falschen Datenträger

Nach der Installation einer Squeeze-Version von einem USB-Stick kommt beim Booten folgender Screen:

GNU GRUB version 1.98+20100804-4
Minimal BASH-like line editing is supported. For the first word, TAB
lists possible command completions. Anywhere else TAB lists possible
device or file completions.

grub> _

Wenn man den USB-Stick allerdings wieder hinein steckt und von ihm bootet, dann kommt der ganz normale Bootscreen von Grub in dem ich auch normal auswählen kann. Er hat also vermutlich Grub auf dem Stick statt auf der HDD installiert.
Die Frage wäre nun, wie man den Bootmanager wieder normal auf die Festplatte bekommt.

Mit dem stick das OS booten und dann als Root:

Code: Alles auswählen

grub-install /dev/sda

gesetzt den Fall /dev/sda ist die entsprechende Festplatte (zB laut 'fdisk -l').
Im Zweifelsfall "update-grub" hintendran.

Denk ich mal.
