Also ich habe ein Laptop mit einer WLAN NIC (debian squeeze), und möchte gerne WLAN so einrichten das ich es benutzen kann wenn ich irgendwo bin wo ich WLAN zur Verfügung habe.
Wenn kein WLAN zur Verfügung steht (wie bei mir zu hause) möchte ich das die WLAN NIC abgeschaltet ist, also keinen Strom verbraucht.
Ich habe mit WLAN bisher nichts zu tun gehabt, also habe ich keine Erfahrung damit.
Und wenn ich das richtig verstanden habe dann müsste ich das ganze ja als AD HOC Netzwerk konfigurieren.
Und wie kann ich die Funktionsfähigkeit prüfen auch ohne WLAN zur Verfügung zu haben?
