Sollte eine Zeile im folgenden Stile geben

00:0d.0 Bla bla Meine Geile Matrox Karte

^^^^^^^
das ist die PCI ID...
diese kannst du im XF86Config-4 übergeben

Section "Device"
Identifier "Matrox Millennium 2MB"
Driver "mga"
VideoRam 2048
BusID "PCI:0:0d:0"

micq ist doch lustig *loool*

nein, zu deinem X.

Sieht doch schon besser aus.

Jetzt hängts weil vsync hsync out of range sind...

Ist dein monitor korrekt definiert im XF86Config-4 ??

Bespiel:
Section "Monitor"
HorizSync 30-61
VertRefresh 50-75
EndSection

Hast du HorizSync und VertRefresh korrekt gesetzt ??

ttyS1= wenn COM2

Section "InputDevice"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "Microsoft"
Option "Device" "/dev/ttyS0"
...

Modelines für Monitor berechnen...

1. Möglichkeit
apt-get install read-edid
get-edid

so sollte get-edid mittels PNP/DCC die Modelines des Monitors ausspucken

2. Möglichkeit (falls 1. fehlschlägt):
apt-get install videogen

Scheinst einen widerspenstigen Monitor zu haben ;)
