Scanner einrichten unter Skolelinux (Debian Etch)

Hallo Leute,

ich bitte um Hilfe.
Ich kann einen Scanner Epson Perfection 2480 PHOTO unter Skolelinux (basiert auf Debian Etch) nicht zum Laufen bekommen. Ich bin schon am Verzweifeln. Es geht nicht!

Datei /usr/share/sane/snapscan/esfw41.bin ist da. Uebrigens: ist das noetig oder nicht?
Ich habe beides ausprobiert. Beides geht nicht.

Auf dem selben Rechner ist auch Windows installiert. Dort funkzioniert der Scanner, d.h. Kabelfehler sind ausgeschlossen und der Scanner selbst ist i.O.

Ich kann dazu folgendes sagen,

1. Geh mal in die Datei saned und kopiere die Cabdatei des Epsons Scanners dahin du kannst auch mal gucken ob in saned dein Epson schon drin ist.
Die Cab datei ist auf der Windows CD deines Epson Scanners drauf. ( hatte anfangs die selben probleme mit meinem AGFA e50. Überprüfe auch ob der
Benutzer ( in dem Falle du ) in der Gruppe Scanner eingetragen ist. Wenn ich was vergessen habe sag oder sagt mir Bescheid.

vielen Dank erstmal fuer deine Antwort. Dein Vorschlag habe ich, erlich zu sagen, nicht wirklich verstanden. Allerdings habe ich, waehrend des Versuches dir zu Antworten, eine Idee bekommen. Und zwar snapscan statt epkowa in der Datei dll.conf einzutragen.
Ergebnis: Ich kann jetzt scannen.

Ich verstehe immer noch nicht warum epkowa nicht geht (mein Scanner soll eigentlich von epkowa unterstuetzt werden) und ob diese Loesung mit snapscan richtig ist, ich kann aber scannen.
