iwl4965 Modul mit Kernel 2.6.26

Hi,

ich hab einen ASUS Laptop, der mit einem "Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 4965 AG or AGN Network Connection (rev 61)" WLAN Modul läuft.
Bisher hatte ich nie Probleme, jedoch seit Kernel 2.6.26 hab ich ca 15 Sekunden Verbindung, danach reißt sie ohne erkannbaren Grund ab.

Ich starte mein WLAN mit folgenden Befehlen:

/sbin/wpa_supplicant -i wlan0 -D wext -c /etc/wpa_supplicant/conf/wpa_supplicant.conf -B
/sbin/dhclient wlan0

Ich bekomm ne IP zugewiesen, die der Adapter auch behält, auch wenn die Verbindung abreißt.

Hat jemand eine Ahnung woran das liegen kann?

Nicht wirklich, wenn überhaupt jemand etwas dazu sagen kann dann müsste man die Fehlermeldung aus dem syslog dazu sehen.

Der Bug scheint bekannt zu sein, ich teste in den nächsten Tagen ein workaround und poste das hoffentlich positive Ergebnis

Beim booten konnte ich ungefähr folgendes lesen

Die LED für Bluettooth leuchtet wenn ich Fn+F5 drücke.
WLAN nicht.

Hi,

in
/lib/firmware
existieren 2 ucodes

iwlwifi.3965-1.ucode und
iwlwifi.4965-1.ucode.

Weiterhin habe ich mal den "aktuellsten" ucode:
http://intellinuxwireless.org/iwlwifi/d ... 7.2.21.tgz entpackt und nach /lib/firmware/ geschaufelt

Ich habe Kernel 2.6.26.2 gebootet.
Mit Synaptic war firmware-iwlwifi installiert.

p.s: wo kann ich den text nachlesen, der beim booten über mein monitor rauscht?

3965 brauchst du ja nicht oder? Kann also bestimmt weg.
4965 würde ich wie gesagt zum testen durch das aktuellste ersetzen.
Könnte gut sein das es damit dann bei 2.6.18 Problemchen gibt.

ich hatte dann
iwlwifi.4965-1.ucode und
iwlwifi.4965-2.ucode (<-- aktueller ucode)

iwl4965-1.ucode habe ich gelöscht und iwl4965-2.ucode nach iwl4965-1.ucode umbenannt?

und ich habe mal die bootmessage durchsucht:
dmesg > bo.txt
bo.txt hatte keine Schlüsselwörter: "iwl", "4965", "iwlwifi", "iwl4965"

In /lib/firmware sind doch nach wie vor die beiden erwähnten *.ucodes

Unter /lib/modules/2.6.26/... gibts jedenfalls kein iwl4965 Modul.

Übrigens--> top liefert, dass es 2-3 prozesse gibt
iwl4965 und
iwl4965/0 und manchmal
iwl4965/1 ??
