Brother 2030 unter Debian

hi versuche meinen drucker unter der shell zu konfigurieren. habe folgendes gemacht.

treiber unter /usr/share/ppd/HL2030.ppd installiert

1.
krettux:~# lpinfo -v
network socket
direct usb://Brother/HL-2030%20series
network http
network ipp
network lpd
direct parallel:/dev/lp0

2. druker konfiguriert
krettux:~# lpadmin -p Brother -E -v usb://Brother/HL-2030%20seriess -m HL2030.ppd

3. als default festgelegt
krettux:~# lpadmin -d Brother

4. dann wollte ich eine test.txt drucker mit:
krettux:~# /etc/init.d/cupsys restart
und
krettux:~# lpr -pBrother test.txt

aber funzt leider nicht.

ich bin mir nicht sicher ob diese vorgehensweise richtig ist. was mache ich falsch, oder was vergesse ich noch zu tätigen damit er fuktioniert.

Mit denen war die Einrichtung bei mir eine Sache von wenigen Sekunden

Genau, das ist die einfachste Lösung.

die treiber habe ich hier heruntergeladen:

ich habe den drucker unter ubuntu problemlos betreiben können. dort habe ich ihn auch mit gnome eingerichtet.
im diesen falle muss ich ihn unter der unix shell einrichten, mein server soll keine grafische oberfläche habenl und kein web. (debian 4.0 etch)

ich habe meinen drucker nach der oberigen konfiguration unter samba mit angebunden. win clients können problemlos drucken. aber direkt unter linux mit "lpr -PDrukername file.txt" nicht.

ich melde mich wenn ich näheres weiß. und danke euch erstmals für eure unterschtüzung.
