Staendige Internettrennung

Ich habe ein Problem, alle paar Stunden trennt sich meine I-Netleitung. Debian laeuft als Router, Clienten alle WinXP. Es sind zwei Netzwerkkarten im Rechner, eine ist direkt mit dem DSL Modem verbunden. Ich hab eine feste IP und gebe I-Net mit iptables frei. plog sagt folgendes:

Ich habe den MTU Wert von ppp0 schon auf 1492 gesetzt, das hat nicht geholfen. Ich habe schon aehnliche Threads gelesen, aber kam damit nicht weiter. Waere fein wenn mir jemand weiterhelfen koennte.

Die Meldung, die Du gepostet hast, sieht auch einfach nach einer ganz normal gelungenen Einwahl aus. Die Meldungen bei einer Trennung wären jetzt hilfreicher !

Danke fuer die Antwort, dem Link nach zufolge liegt es nicht an der MRU/MTU 1500.
Stellt sich die Frage, woran es dann liegt... hier ein weiterer Ausschnitt meiner plog:

Danach connectet er wieder. Hab DHCP aktiviert, jedoch jedem Clienten + dem Server manuell eine IP zugewiesen, weil der DHCP dies nicht tat. Der Server ist auch ueber 9 statische IP's zu erreichen (nicht Netzwerkintern), manuell zugewiesen. Ich weiss nicht inwiefern da was zusammenhaengen kann.

haengt vielleicht zusammen mit der plog Zeile

selbiges problem hatte ich auch,
konnte den fehler dann am moden festmachen, hab mir ein teledat 331 lan gekauft seit dem keine probleme mehr
meine leitung is ziemlich am rande der kapazität

Yup, das sehe ich wie Paradiser, das Problem wird eher an Deinem Modem und/oder an Deiner DSL-Leitung liegen. Also würde ich erstmal das DSL-Modem austauschen (vielleicht von einem Kumpel mal für einen Tag ausleihen).

Edit: 397 MB in 154 Minuten, also durchschnittlich 361 kbit/s klingt nach großem Upload, der die von ppp verlangten Echo-Requests blockiert => Shape it, Baby

Nachdem ich die die /etc/network/interfaces mal von grundauf neu eingestellt habe, war das Problem weg, DHCP habe ich auch deinstalliert. Jetzt hab ich ein Modem zuviel und bin 12EUR aermer!!!
