hi zusammen habe ein klitzelkleines problem!
HAbe das Meinboard MSI K7N2 Delta2 Platinum mit einer Onboard nic von invidia.
Trreiber sind geladen udn die nic läuft daheim auch!
So das ist allerding ein kleiner "SERVER" und soll an eine 1gigbit line. Im normalfall würde ich per mii-toll oder ethtool einfach chekchen das nun eingestelt ist ob 100Mbit 1000Mbit Full dupley half dupley ect. Geht aba nid!

suspekt ist weiter das ich keein weiter nic verbaut habe aber die ein als eth1 läuft. naja egal!

ICH suche drinegen nahc einem Weg der Nic zu sagen Sie soll 1gigbit FD laufen! bitte helft mir. Danke im Vorraus

mii-tool or mii-diag require the presence of some MII-specific ioctls
in each network driver. Some drivers have these ioctls, some don't.
More recently (2.6 kernels), the MII-specific ioctls seemed to fall
out of fashion, being replaced by ethtool ones, which are obviously
used by the "ethtool" utility

Most NICs these days do support MII; what might be missing is Linux

Sprich, entweder unterstützt es die Netzwerkkarte nicht (die Davicom 9102 können es zum Beispiel nicht, das Problem hat ich nämlich auch mal) oder der Treiber ist verbesserungswürdig.

Woher weisst Du denn, dass die NIC noch nicht mit 1000 mbit/s mit FD loift?

Du solltest dir mal die Doku zu deinen Nvidia-Treibern durchlesen, da steht naemlich auch drin, wie man den nvnet-Treiber fuer die Netzwerkkarte auf 100 MBit FD stellt:

force_speed_duplex=3

als Parameter beim Laden des Treibermoduls setzte die Karte auf 100 MBit FD. Fuer 1GBit gibts leider nur nen Wert fuer Autonegotiation.

Was nu? Beide installiert oder nur forcedeth?
Wenn beide, da steht auch was zu in der Doku zum NVidia-Treiber...
Und wenns forcedeth is, da muss man sowas doch auch mit einstellen koennen oder?

ich habe forcedeth installiert als trieber. Leider ifnde ich da keine möglichkeit das ienzustellen:( deswegen bitte ich ja euch um hife.

Dann haettest du das auch sagen sollen, dass du diesen komischen forcedeth Treiber nutzt
Den kenne ich leider nicht und finde auch mit Google nicht wirklich was passendes zu. Wieso nimmst du denn nicht einfach den von nvidia, der kann was du willst?
