problem mit bootsplash-themes

Hallo !
Kleines Problem mit Bootsplash-Themes, bootsplash funktioniert
auf meiner Debian Sid problemlos, aber ein # dpkg-reconfigure bootsplash listet mir nur vier von all den Bootsplash-Themes (10 Stück)
die ich auf http://www.bootsplash.de gefunden und mit apt-get installiert habe .... Ich hab's mit apt-get --purge remove .... && apt-get --reinstall install ..... versucht , aber das ergibt nichts !

Hat jemand ein solches Problem gehabt ?? Oder besser eine Lösung ?

leider habe ich keine Antwort sondern einen Frage: Mußtest Du den Kernel patches für den Bootsplashscreen Support oder ist das inzwischen im Vanilla Kernel drin?

Bootsplash wird auf absehbare Zeit nicht in Mainline aufgenommen.

No.  This stuff has no business in the kernel, paint your fancy graphics
ontop of fbdev.  And the SuSE bootsplash patch is utter crap, I mean what
do you have to smoke to put a jpeg decoder into the kernel?

Ich habe das gleiche Problem gehabt. Habe es dann so gelöst, dass ich mit

splash -s -f /etc/bootsplash/themes/<DEIN THEME>/config/bootsplash-1024x768.cfg > /boot/initrd.splash

die initrd neu geschrieben habe.
