Ich habe eine Datenplatte aus dem PC genommen und betreibe sie als Wechselplatte nach Bedarf im Einschub.
Das war früher die Systemplatte mit Betriebssystem und Boot Partition und Home Partition.
Das System funktioniert einwandfrei, bis auf den verzögerten Startvorgang mit Fehlermeldung.
Wenn ich die Festplatte im Einschulb beim Starten lasse, startet das System schnell, weil die volume Group vorhaden ist.

Nehme ich HDD1 aus dem System kommt etliche male:

und bremst den Startprozess aus.
Wie nehme ich den Eintrag aus dem Betriebssystem, so dass auf die Platte nach dem Einschieben immer noch zugegriffen werden kann.

Wieso sollte das in Richtung BIOS gehen, das verstehe ich jetzt nicht.

Das Bios erkennt ja nur die Hardware, nicht die Volume Groups auf der Hardware, oder liege ich da völlig falsch?

Außerdem kann die Platte bei dem Motherboard mit Hotplug verwendet werden.
Einschieben und in Dolphin anklicken und sie läuft - Aushängen und man kann sie entfernen...

Nur das Debian System sucht die Volume Group die früher da war, beim hochfahren.

Ja das wäre einfach gewesen Ich habe schon mit grep nach dem Eintrag HDD1 in /etc suchen lassen ...

Als erstes in der VG ist ein Bindestrich das hatte ich falsch geschrieben - könnte ja was ausmachen HDD1 -> HDD-1

In der fstab steht auch sonst nicht mehr drin was der Festplatte zuzuordnen ist:

in deiner fstab ist doch auf der Wechselplatte!
Und wenn das so in der fstab steht, die Platte aber nicht da ist, dann geht's halt nicht weiter.

Ich kann ja verstehen dass Ihr mir nicht glaubt, es kann auch sein, dass ich vor lauter suchen 25 mal über den Fehler hinweggesehen habe:

Das ist alles was in der fstab steht.
Das mag eventuell derzeit etwas komisch aussehen, das ist aber nötig weil die Daten und Homepartionen durch das herausnehmen der HDD1 (und einer weiteren HDD ohne VG) anders verteilt sind ... ich suche schon drei Tage ...

Da werden nur die beiden SSD Platten gemounted oder?

Nur zur Info: das ist ein System aufgesetzt 2015 mit Wheezy -> Jessie -> Stretch -> Buster.
Ich weiß nicht mit welchem System ich die VG installiert habe, ich denke aber mit Wheezy. Könnte deshalb was rudimentäreres irgendwo liegen?

Das ganze spielt sich doch nicht auf fstab Ebene ab sondern auf der VG Ebene, also über das VG Managment z.b dmsetup oder ähliches, oder liege ich da falsch?

Eine komplette physikalische Festplatte die nicht mehr erweitert oder verkleinert werden soll, müsste doch überhaupt nicht mehr in einer Volume Group sein. Der erste Ansatz wäre doch die Festplatte aus der VG zu nehmen und dann die VG löschen.
Gparted sagt Partition /dev/sdc3 Dateisystem lvm2 pv
Wenn ja geht das ohne Datenverlust, sprich kann man die Partition zu einer normalen Partiton umwandlen?
Oder muss ich die gesamten Daten auf erst eine andere Platte kopieren?

Allerdings ... funktioniert dann die Platte dann wohl nicht mehr so einfach -reinschieben und zugreifen
Könnte man die VG auch auf eine der SSD verschieben?
