Hallo,

Ich hab mir gerade mal den 2.6.2-1-686 aus unstable installiert. Leider bootet er überhaupt nicht. Aussteigen tut er direkt mit dieser Fehlermeldung (abgetippt):

Ehrlich gesagt weiß ich nicht was los ist. Ein 2.4.22 und ein 2.4.24-1-686 booten auf dieser Maschine ohne Probleme. Im BIOS habe ich nun auch schon wieder alles auf default zurückgesetzt, ohne nennenswerten Erfolg.

Ich hoffe es hat jemand einen Tip für mich!

probiers mal mit noapic beim start

Hallo,

dies Schalter "noapic acpi=off" habe ich schon probiert. Ebenso habe ich im BIOS PnpOS auf yes gesetzt und dort ACPI komplett deaktiviert, soweit es möglich war. Mit dem gleichen Ergebnis

Fürs Archiv:
Dem Kernel "pnpbios=off" beim booten übergeben, dann bootet er. Anscheinend gibt es tatsächlich Probleme mit den 2.6.x'er Kerneln und den P4C800 Boards von Asus.
