wie läuft iptables mit kernel 2.6.1?

Hallo

Kernel 2.6.1 auf RedHat 9, läuft alles schön, nach dieser Anleitung vorgegangen & iptables als modul kompiliert...
wenn iptables1.2.9 neu kompiliert wird (gleicher effekt mit den sourcen von iptables 1.2.:

• ./configure --prefix=/ #hier meint er, es gäbe nix zu tun...
  make moveold #auch hier--> ...schluss
  make
  make check
  make install

befindet sich kein binary-file in /etc/init.d namens "iptables" und auch keines in /sbin, ...aber wenn ich mein script ausführe:

Filterregeln des MASTERCHAINS werden übernommen...

danke, zusätzlich habe ich aber, nun wegen dir, extra iptables nochmals installiert mit apt-get (obwohl das absolut sinnlos ist)...immer noch das Gleiche

Da wir hier auf einem Debian Forum sind habe ich wohl auch debian auf meiner Kiste.

Ich frag (überspitzt formuliert) auch nicht bei Microsoft nach wie ich zuhause meinen Mac administriere
