Dafür habe ich zusätzlich folgendes in die /etc/apt/sources.list eingetragen.
deb http://debian.moolfreet.com ./
Dann ein apt-get update und ein apt-get -u dist-upgrade
Apache restartet und php4.3.4 lief einwandfrei. Aber die gd2 war auf einmal weg
Also apt-get install libgd2 bzw. php4-gd2 versucht, hier die Ergebnisse:
